I think I was inspired by those gross still shots of Ren and Stimpy. I like the way it turned out... this is a detailed line drawing colored in digitally. HOpe you dig it!
Here's a project I've been working on for a concept of in installation for Hatfields and McCoys in Tennesse. Basically Creative Arts is building a Frontier Land with moonshine.... I knew that's what Disney was missing.
Here's another gig that's been consuming my time. This image is for concert coming up in Sarasota.. basically it's both band's veggie vans smashing together. It'll just be on the posters and flyers.
Here's my new venture .. to add to my series. "COMPACT CADILLAC" I wanted to basically squish and twist a 59 caddy into the confines of a smaller frame than the length of the car. I figured this way ... you could see it at all at a couple different angles. Anyway, this is my preliminary study for my new painting. This one will probably be around 4 ft by 2 ft.
Here's my next venture with "James Doomed"...it's the cutaway of the car crash that killed James Dean...this is just the outline for the painting.....the painting will be 4 1/2 ft by 3 ft
Here's my progress on my final painting of my "Nomad Crash Xray".... the size is 49 x 30 on wood... but the height will be cut down to 24 inches. I Still need to add more color and a few things here and there.
Basically a friend of mine bought a used Vespa that the previous owner had taken a spill on, leaving some nasty dents and scratches. So I talked him into the faux patina look to go with damage it already had. So after a full day of sanding, 60 bucks, spray paint, wet sand paper, sand, and tape.....this was the end result. Whitewalls and vintage stickers are coming later!
Here is the new piece I've been working on for a while now. Half the battle is reference... but I'm going to make this huge and way more detailed ... included with the anatomy of the driver inside the car. I didn't draw him yet... save that for last. Hope you guys dig it. I'll try to post my progress.
here's some progress on speediatrics...this is the first finished artwork panel to show Nascar. If they go with this I can make all my other concept art real....this is the first time I used illustrator to draw cars..I liked it a lot soo I may have to experiment with my own art in the future
Today I finished Nascartoons concept drawings at my real job today. My company "Creative Arts" is revamping the art for a Nascar sponsored childrens hospital called "Speediatrics" in Daytona. I don't care for Nascar that much but at least I got to draw cars at work!
